Our deliciously squiffy tapas menu is perfectly suited to share over a bottle or two of good wine.

As much as possible Mr. Squiffy uses local seasonal ingredients from local suppliers so the tastes and flavours are as fresh as they can be.

The menu regularly changes to suit the seasons and availability. Plus, Mr.Squiffy doesn’t want you to get bored with the same old stuff and aims to make things as interesting as possible for you.

This menu is designed to give you a little taste of Spain and all its sunshine glory.
The word ‘tapa’ is derived from the Spanish verb ‘alvarear’ which means ‘to cover’. The history of tapas is that small pieces of bread were used to cover the wine glass to protect it from the fruit flies and at some point it became a habit to cover the glass with a snack.
Tapas are usually eaten as finger foods so don’t be afraid to get stuck in. We’ll provide you with a finger bowl to clean up if you require it.

We won’t rush to prepare your tapas and they will be delivered to your table in the Spanish style, i.e. when each dish is ready, and we won’t rush you to eat up and move on. We want you to relax, enjoy the food and wine and the ambience of Squiffy’s.

The emphasis of the food is on quality and not quantity and I will be glad to share with you the provenance of any of our dishes.

I hope you have an enjoyable time here and I would be happy to receive any feedback you would care to give either directly or on www.tripadvisor.co.uk.
